Not every experienced BMS Engineer wants to move into projects, management or commissioning. We’re looking for a Senior BMS Service Engineer in London who genuinely enjoys the service side of the industry and wants to continue building their career around it.
Role Overview
Offering £62K + package, you’ll take ownership of your own portfolio of sites, focusing on planned maintenance, reactive servicing, and keeping existing BMS systems running reliably. A great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently and wants to stay hands-on.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking responsibility for planned preventative maintenance across an assigned portfolio of sites.
- Carrying out routine BMS inspections, system checks and scheduled servicing.
- Responding to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests.
- Investigating recurring faults and resolving underlying issues.
- Checking control strategies, alarms, schedules and system performance.
- Identifying remedial works and providing clear recommendations to clients.
- Maintaining accurate service records, reports and maintenance documentation.
- Acting as a trusted technical contact for clients, providing advice on the condition and performance of their systems.
The Ideal Candidate
- An experienced BMS Service Engineer with a strong background in planned and reactive maintenance.
- Someone comfortable taking responsibility for their own sites and maintenance schedules.
- Strong knowledge of BMS controls, HVAC plant and building services.
- The ability to investigate faults independently and identify practical, lasting fixes.
- Experience maintaining different BMS systems, with the confidence to work across multiple manufacturers.
- Good client-facing skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
- Someone organised, dependable and comfortable managing the day-to-day demands of a service portfolio.
