We're recruiting an experienced BMS Service/Commissioning Engineer to join an established business supporting major national customers, with around 80% of the work based in London and a fantastic mix of servicing, commissioning and technical projects.
Role Overview
This is a brilliant opportunity to work across some impressive commercial environments, from major retail estates to hotels and leisure facilities, supporting customers who are continually investing in their building systems.
You'll be looking after existing BMS installations, tackling technical challenges and commissioning upgrades that make a real difference to how buildings operate.
Alongside planned maintenance and support, there's plenty of opportunity to get involved in energy-saving improvements, control strategy modifications and developing technical solutions around individual customer requirements.
With an established national customer base and the majority of work concentrated in London, you'll enjoy a varied workload across high-quality commercial sites, working directly with customers and an experienced engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
Service, maintain and commission BMS systems across major national customer estates.
Get involved in interesting BMS upgrades, small works and energy-saving improvements.
Diagnose faults, resolve technical issues and optimise existing building systems.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive support.
Modify control strategies, software and graphics to improve system performance.
Conduct site surveys and identify opportunities for upgrades and improvements.
Develop and commission technical solutions tailored to individual customer requirements.
Produce commissioning documentation, software and graphics for small works.
Build strong relationships with customers across retail, hospitality and leisure environments.
Collaborate with an experienced engineering team and share technical knowledge.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for an experienced BMS engineer who enjoys the technical side of the industry and likes getting stuck into a good variety of work.
You'll ideally have:
Experience in BMS service and/or commissioning.
Experience with at least one major BMS platform, such as Trend, Tridium, Schneider, Siemens or ALC.
A good understanding of HVAC systems and BMS control strategies.
Confidence in fault-finding, commissioning and modifying existing systems.
Experience working with software, graphics and control strategies.
Good communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers.
A London base or location within reasonable travelling distance.
Experience with Niagara-based systems would be an advantage.
