Role Overview
VIGO is thrilled to present an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Service & Operations Manager. In this role, you will be handed the responsibility of the entire service & commissioning department's operations. In addition to directly managing a proficient team, this role involves actively playing an integral part in steering the department towards achieving its annual sales targets. You'll be a strategic member of the Senior Management Team, striving to develop the service department and its affiliated areas of the business. Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Managing Director
Overseeing the service & commissioning department and its various operations
Managing service department personnel, comprising on-site diverse specialists and their office support teams
Leading, managing, and motivating sub-teams for optimal performance
P&L accountability for the Service & Commissioning department
Proactively contributing to meeting or exceeding annual sales goals
Managing minor to medium-sized service projects and retrofits
Implementing staff appraisals and tailored training programs
Regularly engaging with important customers and forming trustworthy relationships
Providing technical advice and solutions to team members and customers
The Ideal Candidate
Has managed a team of at least 10 service and commissioning engineers
Outstanding communication skills for effective interaction at all levels
Sound technical expertise in Building Energy Management Systems
Commercial acumen and the capability to understand interplay between revenue, costs and profit margins
Experience in managing P&L would be highly advantageous
Ability to remain calm under pressure, with a strong focus on achieving targets and meeting objectives
Shows propensity to encourage and support team spirit
Upholds high ethical standards and integrity
Reacts quickly to challenges in a dynamic industry
