A brilliant opportunity has hit the market for a seasoned Sales Manager with a strong background in Building Management Systems (BMS) or Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS). Based in Durham, this role encompasses both direct sales and sales management, targeted towards expanding our growth within the region and constantly improving customer service.
Role Overview
As a Sales Manager, you'll lead our talented sales team, working closely not only with your team but also directly with customers, from end users to main contractors. You will be in constant pursuit of new customers, major upgrade work opportunities and projects, all predominantly based within the Durham region.
Key Responsibilities
Cultivate relationships with consultants, M&E contractors, and end users in the Northern region to secure BMS projects, upgrades, and energy works
Collaborate with your regional sales manager on the development of the sales plan for the region, in line with growth expectations
Set sales budgets for each member of your sales team
Leverage the existing client base and seek new opportunities to meet sales budget targets
Develop a key account list and balance your time between your own sales and supporting the sales team
Guide your sales team to successfully meet their individual sales targets
Introduce additional services offered to the current client base
Carry out annual appraisals of staff members and provide regular performance monitoring
Take the lead on customer escalation issues and ensure a high standard of customer service
The Ideal Candidate
Proven track record in a similar role with at least 5 years in a project sales & management role
In-depth product knowledge of estimating, bid management, and Building Management Systems
Existing relationships with contractors, end users, and consultants in the region
Strong leadership qualities and commercial awareness
Technical expertise on multiple HVAC products
Sales and Energy awareness
Impeccable attention to detail and time management skills
Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and in-house Service Management database & Financial systems
