At VIGO, we’re partnering with a recognised innovator in BMS Control Systems, Decarbonisation, and Climate Tech who are operating a remote-first model. They are looking to appoint an experienced BMS Design Engineer with a true end-to-end ownership mindset and a passion for forward-thinking, data-driven design.
In this role, you will play a key part in shaping how projects are designed, introducing new systems and software solutions, and supporting the wider move toward advanced analytics within smart buildings.
Role Overview
As a BMS Design Engineer, you will take full ownership of the design phase once a project has been secured. You will be responsible for defining control strategies, determining setpoints, selecting systems and software, and leading the technical design process. Once designs are approved, you will hand over to the Projects team while remaining available as a technical advisor during commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver end-to-end design of BMS projects from concept through approval
Lead client design reviews and secure sign-off before project handover
Define control strategies, setpoints, system architecture, and software selection
Provide ongoing technical guidance to the delivery and commissioning teams
Explore and introduce new BMS technologies, platforms, and analytics solutions
The Ideal Candidate
Proven experience designing full BMS projects end to end
Proactive and solution-focused with a forward-thinking mindset
Strong client-facing skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
Comfortable working within a remote-first environment
Strong interest in advancing BMS technology, innovation, and analytics
