VIGO is partnering with an industry leader in building services and automation, to hire a diligent BEMS Commissioning Engineer. In this role, you'll be tasked with meticulously testing, verifying, and commissioning technical systems on-site, collaborating with the dedicated project team, and contributing to our mission of providing high-quality building management solutions.
Role Overview
As a BEMS Commissioning Engineer, your focus will be ensuring that all technical systems align seamlessly with project designs and operational directives from initial testing through final project handover. You'll partner with project managers and engineers, serving as an advocate for excellence and precision throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Review and familiarise with project designs, operations descriptions and control panel documentation
Assisting with software creation and development when required
Supervising and executing electrical testing and verification
Performing control panel modifications and systematic testing
Conducting meticulous testing of all safety interlocks and operational functions
Collaborating on third-party systems integration
Providing active support in training junior team members
Consistently maintaining high standards of professional and ethical conduct
The Ideal Candidate
Has relevant technical qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Building Services
Has a solid understanding of network systems, including TCP/IP and serial devices
Can demonstrate experience in supervising site-based teams
Is comfortable dealing directly with clients and consultants, managing site-related documentation
Has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
Is proactive, independent, and committed to continuous professional development
Holds specific training or certifications such as Tridium N4 TCP, Trend Controls, or North BT
