At VIGO, we’re currently recruiting on behalf of a recognised name in the Smart Buildings sector who are looking to appoint an Energy Optimisation Consultant. If you have a strong background in energy management or energy engineering and enjoy using data to drive meaningful change, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact on customer energy performance.
In this role, you will work closely with clients to analyse energy data, develop targeted optimisation strategies, and support long-term reductions in energy consumption and carbon output.
Role Overview
As an Energy Optimisation Consultant, you will apply your specialist knowledge to interpret complex energy data and translate it into actionable strategies. You will play a key role in helping clients improve efficiency, reduce costs, and operate more sustainably through informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse energy usage data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
Develop and implement tailored energy management strategies across client portfolios
Carry out energy audits and lead efficiency improvement initiatives
Present data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders
Support and train clients in the use of BMS platforms and data analysis tools
Monitor performance and report on the success of implemented optimisation measures
The Ideal Candidate
Degree-qualified in Energy Engineering, Sustainable Energy, or a related discipline
Experience in energy management or energy engineering within a building or facilities environment
Strong analytical capability with confidence interpreting complex datasets
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
A genuine passion for sustainability and driving positive environmental outcomes
