VIGO is excited to be recruiting for an ambitious and experienced BAS Project Manager. We are working with a client known for delivering state-of-the-art smart building projects, and they are now seeking a results-driven specialist to ensure the successful execution of these projects on time, within budget, and to exact client requirements. The role requires strong technical expertise in building automation systems, as well as superior project management skills to manage cross-functional teams effectively. Role Overview
This travelling Project Manager role will have you overseeing the installation, commissioning, and handover of multiple construction projects. From managing project scope and budgets to maintaining ongoing communication with clients, this position is key to ensuring smooth execution and risk mitigation across all projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion
Oversee installation subcontractors and Controls Technicians during commissioning
Maintain ongoing communication with clients to address concerns and manage expectations
Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth execution
Review and approve engineering submittals and technical drawings before handoff
Assign commissioning work and oversee field personnel
Approve and manage the Bill of Materials (BoM) for each project
Provide monthly project updates, including billing and financial reporting, to senior management
The Ideal Candidate
2+ years of experience in construction project management
Strong understanding of building management systems (BMS), HVAC controls, and automation
Experienced in electrical systems, commissioning, and risk management
Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
Adept at building and maintaining strong client relationships
Strong organizational and project planning skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in project management software and documentation tools
Physical Requirements
Ability to travel frequently to job sites by car or plane, up to 85%
Ability to withstand extended periods of standing, walking, and moving throughout job sites
Ability to handle tools, wiring, and small components
Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
