VIGO is working with a leading smart buildings and building automation specialist to recruit an experienced Systems Application Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing engineering team delivering cutting-edge building automation projects across commercial and industrial environments.
Role Overview You'll play a key role throughout the project lifecycle, from software development and commissioning through to final client handover, working alongside experienced engineers on technically challenging projects.
As a Systems Application Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality building automation solutions while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high technical standard.
Key Responsibilities
Programming, testing and commissioning building automation systems.
Coordinating on-site engineering activities throughout project delivery.
Diagnosing and resolving software and system issues during commissioning.
Working closely with clients, subcontractors and other trades to ensure successful project execution.
Supporting project managers to deliver projects on time and within scope.
Maintaining excellent documentation and commissioning records.
Ensuring compliance with site safety procedures and engineering standards.
The Ideal Candidate
We're interested in speaking with engineers who have:
At least 4 years' experience delivering Building Automation or Building Management System (BAS/BMS) projects.
Strong commissioning and software engineering experience.
Knowledge of HVAC control systems and integrated building technologies.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers and multidisciplinary project teams.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
A proactive attitude with a desire to continue developing technically.
