At VIGO, we’re recruiting on behalf of an award-winning Smart Buildings and Energy Optimisation specialist who are looking to strengthen their service team with an experienced Senior BMS Service Engineer. If you take pride in delivering high-quality PPMs, resolving faults efficiently, and taking full ownership of site performance, this role offers a strong platform within a respected and forward-thinking business.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimising BMS installations across a varied portfolio of sites, ensuring systems remain reliable, compliant, and energy efficient.
Role Overview
As a Senior BMS Service Engineer, you will focus on the routine service and maintenance of BMS systems across multiple sites. Your day-to-day work will centre around delivering PPMs, carrying out reactive fault finding, completing small improvement works, and ensuring systems operate at optimal performance levels.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance across a portfolio of BMS-managed sites
Provide reactive fault finding and repair services to minimise downtime
Work across BMS platforms including Tridium Niagara, Trend, and Schneider
Diagnose and resolve system, software, controller, and network-related faults
Undertake minor upgrades, modifications, and remedial works
Produce clear service reports, PPM documentation, and handover notes
Maintain strong communication with clients and site teams to explain issues and resolutions
Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota as required
Attend manufacturer, product, and BCIA training to stay up to date with industry developments
The Ideal Candidate
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a BMS Service Engineer role
Strong background delivering PPMs and reactive maintenance
Hands-on experience with Tridium Niagara, Trend, or Schneider systems
Comfortable working independently in a field-based service environment
Methodical approach to fault finding and problem solving
Clear and professional communicator with clients and site teams
Holds a full UK driving licence
