At VIGO, we’re recruiting on behalf of an innovative leader within the Building Management Systems sector who are looking to appoint an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer into a fully remote position. This role is ideal for someone looking to step away from constant site work while continuing to apply their technical expertise in a modern, technology-led environment.
In this position, you will provide remote commissioning, technical support, and system optimisation for a diverse customer base, playing a key role in maintaining high-performing building control systems.
Role Overview
As a Remote BMS Commissioning Engineer, you will deliver high-quality commissioning support remotely, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance to customers and internal teams. You will ensure systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in line with best practice.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver remote BMS commissioning services using hands-on technical experience
Provide technical support to customers and internal teams, primarily across Trend and Tridium systems
Communicate clearly with clients to explain system functionality and performance
Collaborate closely with project managers, design engineers, and delivery teams
Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and performance
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BMS technologies, standards, and best practices
The Ideal Candidate
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a BMS Commissioning Engineer
Strong experience with Trend and Tridium systems
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote working environment
Customer-focused with the ability to understand and meet client requirements
Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-led mindset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Well organised, self-motivated, and proactive in a remote setting
Holds a full UK driving licence
Has full right to work in the UK, sponsorship is not available
