At VIGO, we’re partnering with a leading smart buildings specialist who are looking to strengthen their London delivery team with an experienced BMS Project Engineer. If you have a strong background in Building Management Systems and enjoy owning projects from concept through to completion, this role offers the chance to work across a varied and technically engaging project portfolio.
In this position, you will deliver a mix of small works, innovation projects, and medium-sized BMS schemes, playing a key role in driving quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Role Overview
As a Project Engineer, you will take responsibility for the technical and commercial delivery of BMS projects. Acting as the central point of contact, you will manage project execution, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full project lifecycle from initial concept through commissioning and handover
Work closely with contractors, consultants, end users, and internal teams
Deliver technical excellence across BMS system design, installation, and commissioning
Monitor and manage project risks to ensure scope, programme, and budget are maintained
Prepare and present project progress updates with accurate documentation
Carry out post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and improvement opportunities
The Ideal Candidate
Proven experience in a BMS Project Engineer or similar role
Strong technical knowledge of BMS platforms such as Trend, Tridium, or equivalent systems
Effective project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, stakeholder-focused approach
Engineering degree or relevant industry qualification is advantageous
Holds a full UK driving licence
