If you’re a BMS Service or Commissioning Engineer who loves the technical side of controls but is tired of endless callouts, motorway miles, and firefighting this role is your exit route. This is your chance to move into the next generation of BMS work: analysing buildings, improving performance, reducing energy spend, and helping clients hit net-zero goals. Less spanners. More strategy. More impact.

Your Mission

You’ll join one of the UK’s most respected energy optimisation teams working with cutting-edge buildings, advanced BMS platforms, and real building performance data. Your role is simple but powerful: Find the inefficiencies. Fix the root cause. Make buildings perform better. No two buildings are the same. No day is repetitive. And everything you do drives measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out detailed energy audits across commercial industrial, and critical sites
Identify and quantify optimisation opportunities across HVAC, controls, and plant
Develop and present Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs)
Work closely with on-site engineers and clients to implement improvements
Produce high-quality technical reports backed by real data
Use your BMS experience to diagnose performance drift and uncover real issues
Track, measure, and verify results post-implementation
Stay ahead of industry best practice, analytics tools, and smart building tech

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll thrive if you’re a Service or Commissioning Engineer who:
Has strong hands-on BMS experience (Trend, Tridium, Siemens, Distech, etc.)
Understands how buildings should perform versus how they actually perform
Wants to move away from callouts, PPMs, and constant travel
Enjoys fault-finding, optimisation, and control logic
Is confident analysing data and explaining technical findings
Can engage with clients and work collaboratively with onsite teams
Holds a full UK driving licence
Experience in energy auditing is helpful but not essential.
What really matters is your controls engineering brain and your desire to grow.

What’s on Offer

Up to £55,000 base salary
Bonus scheme
Company car or car allowance
Huge career development into analytics, optimisation, net-zero strategy & consultancy
A collaborative team with low turnover
Annual rewards & recognition
Cycle to Work scheme and sustainability-focused benefits
