VIGO is excited to announce an opportunity for a seasoned BMS Project Manager in the smart buildings industry. This critical role lies at the intersection of professional customer service, quality work coordination, and concrete project delivery. You'll ensure projects run smoothly, on time, and within budget while encouraging a safe and quality conscious work culture.
Role Overview
As the BMS Project Manager, you will handle key accounts, forging strong relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring projects comply with all relevant health & safety regulations. Coming from a strong BMS/HVAC background, you will utilise your technical expertise and leadership abilities to deliver top-tier project management.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all project works are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards
Maintain compliance with all ISO, H&S procedures & policies
Oversee the production of necessary H&S and CDM documents
Attend key project meetings and produce comprehensive weekly project reports
Take responsibility for project variation submissions and interim applications for payment
Maintain up to date project files and ensure adherence to quality management procedures
Coordinate closely with the estimating/sales team
Oversee the procurement of control items and approval of control panel designs
Ensure efficient labour forecasting and effective resource management
Manage subcontractors and conduct regular performance reviews
Ensure all team members have appropriate training for their assigned tasks
Assist with project design and generate technical submissions
Prepare O&M manuals and other vital project documentation
Attend training courses and meetings as required
The Ideal Candidate
Proven experience in BMS/HVAC projects and technical expertise on multiple products
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Commercially aware with excellent leadership skills
Exceptional time management, organisational skills, and attention to detail
Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)
Proficient in using Microsoft Office, including Project
Self-motivated, responsible, and driven with a can-do attitude
