VIGO is recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded client in the Smart Building and Energy Optimisation sector. They are seeking an experienced and ambitious BMS Project Manager to reinforce their growing southwest team.
Role Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for the design and management of BMS project delivery. They will lead projects from sales handover, to detailed design, delivery, and completion. The role requires excellent commercial awareness, outstanding customer service skills, and the ability to manage multi-disciplined teams.
Key Responsibilities
Taking projects from sales handover through to detailed design, delivery and completion
Assessing construction issue information and managing RFIs
Producing control schedules, operation descriptions, and network schematics
Procuring hardware, field equipment, control panels and installation resources
Producing RAMS and managing project programmes
Commercial management at a project level, including applications and variations
Maintaining a high level of communication with customers
Managing site teams to ensure milestones are reached
Identifying and communicating risks during projects
Compiling site reports ahead of progress meetings with customers
Issuing O&M manuals, including 'as fitted' drawings
Completing engineering tasks within agreed timescales
Designing outstation points lists and strategies in line with agreed operational modes
Protecting project margins through effective planning and efficient deployment of resources
The Ideal Candidate
Previous project management experience
BEMS engineering and commissioning experience
In-depth knowledge of HVAC plant and control applications
Awareness of health and safety regulations
Technical knowledge of Trend, Tridium and Schneider EcoStruxure, as well as other legacy systems
Good commercial awareness to protect margin during project delivery
Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work under pressure
Ability to prioritise workloads without supervision
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
IT literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
A full driving license
