Role Overview
This position is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer eager to gain hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and working on various BMS projects. This role will expose you to a variety of building automation systems, HVAC controls, energy management, and smart building technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Assist senior project managers/engineers in the planning, design, and execution of BMS projects
Regularly develop project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports
Preparation of health and safety documentation for client and Project Manager sign offs
Preparation of detailed site commissioning information packs
Liaise with multidisciplinary teams such as electrical, HVAC, and IT engineers for smooth integrations of BMS solutions
Participate in site visits, inspections, and commissioning activities
Regularly monitor project progress, maintain schedules, and provide updates to senior project managers
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, during installation and commissioning
Stay up to date with emerging BMS technologies, industry standards, and best practices
The Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Automation/Mechatronics Engineering or a related field preferred
ONC/HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering or equivalent
Basic understanding of HVAC systems, building automation, and control systems
Knowledge of BMS protocols (BACnet, Modbus, KNX, etc.) beneficial
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software advantageous
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Willingness to travel to project sites as required
Full, valid UK driving license (category B) with a maximum of three active penalty points
