Bring your technical expertise to the forefront with this Principal Engineer role. With your eye for detail and your ability to oversee projects from start to finish, you'll work side-by-side with the Project Manager to deliver high-quality building management system solutions.

Role Overview

The Principal Engineer role encompasses management of every technical aspect of our projects, from inception to aftercare. You'll work closely with diverse teams, ensuring the technical delivery aligns with client requirements and industry best practices. You'll be heavily involved in every step of the process, from design reviews to on-site implementation and debriefing team members post-project.

Key Responsibilities

Review initial project designs and provide input during the handover phase Proactively communicate with clients and consultants on technical aspects Attend and contribute to technical meetings and design processes Implement software programs into control panels prior to dispatch Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests in collaboration with Project Commissioning Engineers

Oversee all aspects of site implementation and post-implementation services Lead the project debriefing process and contribute to improvement strategies Ensure that all documentation is complete, stored correctly, and easily accessible Mentor and train less experienced colleagues whilst setting an example with a professional and ethical approach

The Ideal Candidate

Has a qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline Holds a valid CSCS/ECS gold card Has proven experience in BEMS engineering and project management Demonstrates expertise in using Tridium Niagara 4 and Trend Controls, with additional experience in Distech, KNX, North Building Technologies, and LoRaWAN being a plus Shows strong knowledge in network topology design and integration Excels in communication and has previous experience liaising with clients and consultants Has an understanding of sustainable and ethical engineering practices Has experience in the luxury residential property sector Membership or Chartered status with a recognised engineering institution is highly desirable
