BMS Design Engineer

VIGO is working with an innovative BMS integrator that's been shaping the smart building landscape from day one. With a reputation for delivering high-spec, energy-efficient systems, they’re now looking for a BMS Design Engineer to join their growing technical team.

Role Overview

You’ll be the technical backbone of each project, taking ownership of the full BMS/BAS system design. From concept to delivery, your focus will be on creating intelligent, efficient building environments that genuinely improve performance and sustainability.

You'll collaborate closely with project managers, commissioning engineers, and clients  ensuring every detail of the design meets the brief and exceeds expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed BMS/BAS system designs using platforms like Tridium, Trend, and others

• Produce control panel schematics, points lists, and network diagrams

• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to define technical requirements

• Attend design meetings and provide technical input throughout project lifecycle

• Ensure compliance with energy and building regulations

• Support project handovers and provide technical assistance during commissioning

 

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience in BMS/BAS system design

• Strong technical knowledge of control systems (e.g., Tridium, Trend, Cylon)

• Confident in producing technical documentation and schematics

• Passionate about sustainability and smart technology

• A proactive problem-solver with a collaborative mindset

• Relevant electrical or mechanical qualifications
