BMS Design Engineer

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing and configuring complex building automation systems, including integration with other low-voltage systems.

• Selecting hardware, sensors, and components to interface with controlled equipment.

• Creating detailed documentation such as flow diagrams, wiring diagrams, riser diagrams, IO summaries, sequences of operation, equipment schedules, and product data sheets.

• Developing project layouts based on proposals, specifications, and collaboration with sales and project engineers.

• Coordinating field changes and producing as-built drawings.

• Preparing system operation manuals and documentation.

• Attending meetings with consultants and project stakeholders to resolve any design issues.

What We're Looking For

• A degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent experience).

• At least 3 years of experience in HVAC control system design (preferred).

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical floor plans.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience analyzing control system drawings and schedules (a plus).

• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Schneider Electric/Andover Controls (a plus).
