BEMS Hybrid Engineer

VIGO are looking for a Hybrid Solutions Engineer to join a growing team in Manchester. As they continue to expand, their mission remains clear: to create more efficient, low-carbon buildings for their clients. The Mission

• Develop and deploy tailored digital solutions for customer buildings and facilities.

• Design and engineer enhancements for Building Management Systems (BMS), retrofit projects, and capital schemes.

• Support building performance reporting and system appraisals using remote monitoring, analytics, and software tools to improve energy efficiency.

• Provide technical assistance both on-site and remotely, supporting BMS maintenance and smart hub operations.

• Lead IoT deployment projects, including hardware, platform, and dashboard integration with BMS.

• Contribute fresh ideas to meetings, driving innovation in Digital Facilities and IoT solutions.

• Design and develop digital dashboards and cloud-hosted BMS graphics.

• Support in-house training, mentoring existing engineers, partners, and subcontractors.

The Ideal Candidate

• Multidisciplinary engineering experience within the BeMS industry.

• Strong background in HVAC control systems.

• Minimum experience with TREND and Tridium control systems.

• Knowledge of open protocol integration: BACnet, Mbus, MODbus, LON.

• Proficiency in HVAC UI graphics and engineering (PX Pages).

• A strong portfolio showcasing multiple building and HVAC system projects.

• Experience with web integration (MQTT, API) and applied HVAC analytics.

• Familiarity with IoT deployments and wireless solutions.

• Passionate about digital solutions, smart buildings, and energy optimisation.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a dynamic team.

Package

• Depending on experience £50K to £60K plus Car

• Car or Allowance

Location & Work Environment:

Primarily based in the North of England and Wales, with national account projects across London, the South, and Scotland.

Flexible working options: Manchester head office, field-based, and remote work available.
